IC:
Some basics:
Character name: Chell. (also acceptable, thanks to his/fae culture: as long as it's said with some respect, something descriptive. dryad, tree-knight, forestman, plantman, etc....)
Character age: Actually OLD AF. "Adult". looks to be maybe in his 20s-40s? It's hard to tell.
General Genre?: fantasy, adventure, drama, possibly tragedy?
Appearance: Adult male, tallish, humanoid. Picture a human knight in slim, fitted-looking shiny black platemail, sans helmet. Now picture that the platemail is actually made of hardwood, with softer brown material visible in the joints between its pieces, and is actually something like an exoskeleton, not the more-usual worn armor. The "skin" of his face is a brown wood, though it blackens around the edges into what would look like a cap/neck-covering (again, a lot like knights wore) with big twigs that stick out up behind his head like hair or an odd backwards-worn tiara/crown, possibly with a few leaf buds or something. Fully black eyes, angular face with high cheekbones and somewhat pointed chin and nose, and also subtly pointed elf-ears. His left forearm is slightly thicker than his right; he can slide parts of it out to form a shield. Apparently nothing like that is built into his right arm, though, no signs of actual weaponry anywhere on (or in) him. Looks to wear a dark cape of some sort that hangs from his shoulders' armor; it's actually made of moss and is part of him. Has some hair-thin, straight ridges in various places (on his shield, across his torso and neck, prolly a few elsewhere on his limbs) (spoilers: they're scars). And he smells like... well, like a tree or something? (Like an ent, if anyone with a good enough sense of smell wants to try comparing the two.)
World info/important terms:
MUAHAHAHA, YOU FOOL.... XD
Okay no but seriously, you can just check Mallia's app for most of this section.
The parts that hers doesn't cover that much:
★ "Poppet" is a term with one primary meaning: someone beloved. It's used quite informally as a term of endearment, from an older person to a younger one (with a meaning of "beloved child", like "sweetie", or "kiddo", "pumpkin", "cutie", etc, without requirement for any actual relationship between the two, or for the one being addressed to be an actual poppet) but in more formal terms, it's a living being who was artificially made. Good folklore examples would include stories like Pinocchio and the Velveteen Rabbit, the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz, the Nutcracker from the self-titled play, and potentially even Thumbelina. In more modern settings, the term would refer to synthetic life forms in general, such as sapient robots/androids. Yes, the term is related to "puppet", but the distinction is whether the doll in question is alive or not, and the fae place their emphasis on spirit as the deciding factor there, not biology. And while the majority of traditional (read: magic-based) poppets have spirits that were created via magic, it's also possible to use a poppet form to house an existing spirit, such as that of a previously naturally-born biological creature. In this case, having a poppet form is simply regarded as some sort of full-body prosthetic. And someone may or may not be using some sort of glamour magic to disguise themselves/their poppet parts to look and act just like biological ones. It's a very individual choice, that. Also worth noting, are the points that fae consider other sapients (as well as potentially/superficially-alive others, like Siri and Alexa) to be fundamentally worth respecting as equals until proven otherwise (and sometimes not even then; it's something of a tell, that one may thank their phone after an interaction, haha), and that the creation of a poppet (especially with an artificial spirit) necessarily requires either care and intention and effort, or at least time and strong belief. The likelihood of a magic-poppet being an unwanted being is so low as to be functionally zero, among the fae.
★ Unicorns are a fae species of deer, rather than being related to horses. They're typically very lightly built, with long legs and a slender frame for sprinting and jumping. Their horn is technically their antlers, grown into a twist. They tend to be skittish of other people, mostly of humans (for very solid reasons), but are friendly with other fae. Being a sapient species, they're regarded by the elves and dragons as equals, and their magic skills tend toward mind-reading sorts of things, such as being aware of others' emotions and intentions, not much unlike the ents. They're also typically fond of healing-magic and what amounts to telekinesis. The humans' stories claim they have some sort of soft spot for... let's say innocent, unwed young ladies, but the truth is, they're just a lot less wary of kids in general, on account of them normally not being out to murder them... and that they're possibly even small enough that they can give them a ride somewhere. Given that they're fae, they sometimes are eventually able to take humanoid (read: elf) appearance... but doing so requires something to happen with their original physical form first, since it's almost invariably too large and/or just not conveniently-enough shaped, to be able to fit it inside the new shape. And sadly, things often do happen, to damage that original form of theirs to the point where they can leave enough of it behind to manifest that way, because a lot of humans had a tendency to see hunting them as a form of sport, or bragging rights, regarding them as simply clever beasts.... And yes, humans did eventually hunt them to extinction as a species, in Europe, probably well enough before the 1400s.
History:
The most relevant (and tiny) summary:
- He was born as an elf, in the same village as Mallia grew up in
- Something Bad Happened; he was put in a
Pinocchiowooden-doll poppet body - Grew up
- Fled when humans destroyed his home, because of course they did
- Had ents make him a living ent-based body
- Lived in an ent forest, helped other fae
- After some centuries, a battle where he'd tried intervening to save some unicorns from more humans hunting them
- Got mostly killed in the process
- Ents put his body back together, hid it. He slept while he healed, but ended up hibernating, mentally tangling up with the ents
- Centuries later, Mallia showed up and tried to retire in his forest
- A good while after that, someone came and woke her up and got her to leave, to go back to her home
- Mallia's BFF (Sia) came and moved that ent forest to her rebuilt castle
- They eventually figure out something's definitely up with that one huge multiple-ent tree, find him inside, pull him out, and wake him back up
YOU'RE LUCKY I'M RUSHING THIS APP AND STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HIS DETAILS or you'd have gotten a FAR bigger history section than Mallia's, written out as a full fic, just because I could.
Just saying. XD
To note, I'm thinking I'll drag him in from just before that last point on the list. He gets to wake up from the 4thwall TDM stuff instead.
Personality:
Chell is an introvert. He's not socially anxious or anything, he's just content with quiet and being mostly by himself. Honestly, ents are enough company for him, despite not being conversationalists in the usual sense. He's fine being a hermit like that for years on end.
He's normally pretty calm, patient... mellow, even passive if nothing's going on that would need his attention; he'd take a long nap in a tree or out in the sun or something, rather than invent something to do, if left to his own devices. But due to his origins among the elves, and fae culture being how it is, he's not going to be idle if someone's in need of help. Aiding others is just baseline How One Does, for them, as well as having a great deal of respect for life/living things, especially creatures (and ents count here; if it has a mind, it qualifies. Regular plants do too, just because they're alive, but to a lesser degree. Picking some flowers is fine; shooting a bird is not. Destroying the flora just for the sake of destruction is going to irritate him and maybe get the person smacked. Knock that off.) Injustices chafe and he'll want to fix things, even though he can acknowledge that sometimes, life just isn't fair, due to no one's fault. Nature isn't always fair. But that doesn't mean one shouldn't try to make it better when they can, right?
He isn't much into material things, though he definitely appreciates art and pretty visuals, and respects the time and effort and skill put into making things, having been a crafter himself. He's much more likely to make something for someone else, than for himself. Really, he doesn't tend to keep any things, since he doesn't actually need much. He's never particularly understood greed or jealousy, except as a want for better for oneself; he's arguably pretty generous with what little he might have, but it's more accurate to say that he's simply not that interested in keeping whatever it is, and if someone else is, it only makes sense to let them have it instead.
His quiet nature does have limits, though: after a long history of harassment and violence from humans, whether directed toward himself, his ents, or others around him, he's gotten fed up with it. It's led to a deep distrust and wariness of them, specifically adult male humans, that borders on animosity: those tend to be the hunters... the murderers, as far as he's concerned. (It isn't that they can't prove themselves worthwhile, but on first meeting? He'll see.) On the other hand, he'll be very quick to consider nonhumans -- fae, primarily, and animals -- as friends, even family/kin. They've typically been the victims of the humans' knights and often-well-dressed arrogant hunters. He understands that when a human in more peasant clothing is going after an animal, it's probably for food, which is necessary... and if they're willing to abandon their hunt, he'll send them off with as much produce as they can carry; he's not a monster himself, he knows about survival and desperation leading people to resort to less than ideal actions. But if they're going to persist for less justifiable reasons? If it's not a matter of need, but of recreation, of pride, of reputation- and thrill-seeking and sport... they may not leave in the same condition they entered. He'll make sure they can't continue their wicked games. Originally, this tended to involve simply disarming them, and teaching them better. Later, it meant leaving them in no fit condition to even try, should they acquire more gear once returned home. If he's feeling merciful, this may merely mean forcing them to experience the pain and terror they've inflicted on their quarry, via telepathy/empathy, as a way of inflicting understanding so that they cannot remain ignorant as to the results of their actions. (If they suffer nightmares from it, oh well, he has little to no sympathy. They've done evil, and should be on the receiving end of their own crimes, if only in spirit. Their guilt and trauma is on them.) If he's not, it may mean never being able to hold a weapon again, or even inflicting the same damage on them as they'd caused, before sending them away. If they were so willing to do it to an innocent, how could it be wrong to return the favor to the aggressor, or forcibly render them harmless? Note: though this is technically in line with fae philosophy and morality, they generally prefer a lack of physical violence, since killing is so frowned upon, and disabling or even killing the offender would mean that it's harder or impossible for them to properly atone for their acts afterwards. If they only shove evildoers' noses in their messes mentally by making them experience it through other means, they WILL know better, with no excuses, and may even show true remorse and change their ways. A helpful, reformed villain can absolutely become a valued ally and member of the community. It's happened before! ...But a dead one stands no such chance. At this point, Chell's tolerance for dealing with such miscreant, short-lived, stupid cousin-species criminals is next to out. So... there's that. :(
Deeds and sorting:
Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done:
- Encouraged the ents to defend themselves
According to the humans, this practically always goes here under bad things. According to the fae, it should often go under good things. He didn't just encourage them to scare away ill-intentioned humans, though, which is about where most of the fae would settle. It's going here because later on, he'd also decided that getting more physical was perfectly within bounds. Not just blocking the human hunters' paths and leading them back out of the forest, not just grabbing them and physically tossing them back out like a bouncer at a downtown night club, not just pulling weaponry away and restraining them, confronting them and making them swear they'll leave and never return, not just scaring them absolutely witless... but actually meeting the humans with equal or greater force, to try putting them off of the idea of causing harm more lastingly. This hadn't yet crossed the line into ending anyone's life, but it had certainly leaned toward inducing phobias and leaving physical scars, when something like fire or bladed weapons were involved. He may have started off with good intentions, but toward the end of things there, he was starting to really lose his patience. There are only so many egotistical knights he was able to put up with over the centuries before he started making examples of them more than before, escalating in punishments, which sorta goes against the fae's leanings, on how to handle it.... - Got royally ticked off and finally did not hold back, in the fight that effectively ended him. It was a group of hunters, and suffice to say, none of them made it home that night.... Worse (in his view): he didn't manage to save the family he was trying to protect in that battle.
- Probably helped worsen relations greatly between the humans around his forest and the forest itself. People ended up terrified of that place, even centuries later -- because, retired (read: more or less hibernating, unconscious) or not, he was still influencing it.
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done:
- Generally helped others (primarily fae)
This one probably ought not to be understated; his self-assigned role was to protect and care for a forest made of fae trees, as well as any other creatures who were willing to exist there peacefully. This meant healing them if they needed it, and providing food and shelter, among other things. His forest was a bit of a refuge, in a setting in which humans were fond of hunting down various fae species simply because they wanted to. How many times had he saved someone's life, by cutting off their pursuers, or cared for a lost child until their parents could come find them? Or fed the hungry, including sending even humans away with a lot of fresh food to eat. He wasn't doing it for reputation or favors or anything of the sort, but simply because it was what he saw as the right thing to do.
This one could be broken down into hundreds (or even thousands) of smaller acts, but I'm just going to lump it all together for simplicity's sake here. Suffice to say, he's earned a good reputation among his people, for the most part.
It's probably also worth noting that acting that way when able is simply expected among the elves; fussing over it would be a bit like praising someone as amazing here irl for always washing their hands after using the bathroom. It's expected, it's a positive thing to note, etc... but it doesn't make someone worthy of grand celebrations. In the elves' terms, Chell was basically in good standing overall, not exactly a hero of myth or something. - Helped the ents defend themselves
Okay, well, the fae would approve of this one. The humans... not so much. So yeah, fewer fae trees were chopped down under his watch. Many fewer. And others that lived in that forest too, mostly animals, were likewise safer and better taken care of because of it.... - Helped grandma
Not entirely brushing his past off, he was actually a very helpful little kidlet, one that got involved in working with one of the elder elves of his community in particular, the one that'd made him his poppet forms and kept him in good repair. (The older ones are everyone's grandparents there, lineage aside.) Yes, it was partly because he had an interest in being able to maintain his own wooden form himself, but he really did do a lot to help her out....
Please put the six things above on a timeline relevant to each other:
- Helped grandma (yay!)
- General Friendly Forest-Neighborhood Helper/Guard type stuff (yay!)
- Helped the ents defend themselves.... (yay!)
- ...but escalated it and got mean about it.... (not yay...)
- ...until it culminated in a battle that ended lives.... (definitely not yay)
- ...And now his forest is feared and hated. (very not yay!)
Do you consider your character a hero, an anti-hero, a good aligned side kick, a bystander, a victim, a fence sitter, a mercenary, an evil aligned side kick, a villain, or something else? Why?:
Something of a general good citizen and situational guardian among his own kind (read: the fae in general), but a villain and boss fight waiting to happen, from the humans' perspective. In a situation where one side was hostile to the other, he'd positioned himself to step in between the two, to defend the victims from the aggressors... but the latter were humans, who saw it as their right to conquer what they interpret as a challenge issued, and generally tended to react in fear and hatred toward those that were different, and who and what they didn't understand. To the humans' way of thinking, they were in the right, and those they're targeting were the actual threats, Chell included.
Do you think your character should start on the Isle or in Auradon? Why?:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Which of those two would you prefer your character to start in?:
Either could be interesting, potentially. I know he wouldn't know how to handle being depowered on the Isle, aside from being even more cautious than usual, and more clingy with his tree, haha. Why can't he hear his ent??
Are you still interested in having this character in this game at this time if that preference is not met?:
...What preference?
Powers and Abilities:
Chell's- First off, he's an ent, biologically.
Meaning, he doesn't have the usual requirements that humans would, re: food and the like. He does need water, but he could realistically just dig roots into the ground for a while for that if he wanted. Or maybe stay outside overnight, to collect moisture in his cloak. And it doesn't even have to be particularly clean, so long as it isn't full of chemicals like bleach or herbicides or something. If it wouldn't hurt a normal, mundane tree, it wouldn't hurt him. He doesn't necessarily need to eat anything, but he does need some light... just maybe not as much as one might suspect. He's used to living in the shade for the majority of the time, what with dwelling in an ent forest; his energy stores (yes, spirit-energy magic like his world's fae rely on, shadowstuff) can sustain him for quite a long time. If it comes to it he could actually live in total darkness for quite a while simply sustaining his body off of what energy his own spirit naturally creates. Not well, mind, but it wouldn't kill him to spend time in a dungeon or something, is all.
Being a literal tree also means a few other fun things, like that if he gets a limb disconnected somehow, it's far less urgent a matter to reattach it, than it would be for a human. It's wood; it'll keep a while. It isn't like he'll bleed out, after all, though the cut surface is probably going to be kinda sticky.... And also because he's on the botanical side of species classifications, it's safe to assume some things like that he'd exhale oxygen and make use of carbon dioxide (and doesn't exactly need to breathe much in the usual sense anyway; he could stay underwater for a lot longer than a human could, if he needed to.) Just... details like that. :)
Further fun: he can deliberately grow things from himself, like for example, leaves and flowers, or change his cape, etc etc. This is a perfectly mundane process, in how it happens, aside from the fact that he can direct it deliberately; it's how he ended up with a shield he could fold out from his forearm. He can do it via magic, but he doesn't always; that's incorporating constructs as a stopgap/temporary thing, such as an extra layer of armor, or thorn spikes on his existing plates. Maybe he wants to change his form, so that he can be taller (or smaller?) or replace his shield's parts or something? He could do that, if so. It would take some time, but he could do it.
Also: he's not actually particularly weak against fire, more than anyone else would be. That's for dry, dead wood, not healthy, living trees like him. - Physical strength
...He's literally made of wood. Compared to an otherwise-similar human, he's definitely physically stronger than they are. Not by an incredible amount, but the chances of winning an arm-wrestling contest against him would not be in the human's favor. XD - Mental abilities like empathy and telepathy
Empathy (usually a passive/automatic ability): He's not amazing at it. In fact, he really should've practiced more before. But like the regular ents, he can generally sense stronger surface feelings when in closer proximity, like someone's overall mood and intentions (like, are they wanting to do violence, or just chill? Are they having a bad day, or feeling awful to the point where he should intervene for their own good? Are they overly happy or excited, and simply being a little inconsiderate merely due to being overcome with "OH WOW COOL!!" sentiments? Also useful as a sort of actually-accurate lie-detector skill, tbh...) He is not some grand mind-reader, though. This is more like a more pronounced version of how most people can figure out what mood someone else is in, but with more certainty, and such that trying to act to cover it up just isn't very effective, for most regular humans... and a potential for more past that, if he's doing it intentionally and the other person isn't capable of blocking it.
Telepathy (which usually requires deliberate effort, at least with non-ents): He's very much not that great at communicating much past general ideas when doing it by telepathy with anyone but ents, but given that he only speaks Elvish, that he can share thoughts as well as he can is more or less how he can talk to any non-fae at all. With ents, on the other hand... well, it's in their natures to do that, and for him, has become reflexive. This is how he can be so well aware of what's entered his forest where, and when exactly, what they're up to, etc... if his ent forest knows it, then so does he, because it will tell him. Similarly, he's constantly sharing with the ents he's always within arm's reach of, if not already touching. This is how he's able to let the ents know where he wants to head, so they can arrange a swift path for him to take, when to find and collect ready food that he can give out, and generally "cheat" when it comes to cooperating with his trees in other ways too, like to trip up opponents, block their paths, and just generally make it a one-sided confrontation. Not much that humans can do, when the environment itself is showing you out, is there? Haha. ...This is a very close range thing, though, make no mistake. If he's more than a few yards away, the effectiveness has already dropped dramatically. He wouldn't be able to check in with any ents from across the school in Auradon or anything. And if he's going to try using those abilities to talk to non-ents, it's more of a within arm's reach situation, if not having to be in physical contact to be half effective. - He has a gem in his right forearm, nearish his elbow. (And a much smaller one deep in his chest.)
Like how a great many other magic users in his world prefer having an MP-battery in their staff or jewelry or wherever, he keeps one in his arm. It's not terribly big, but it's stable, and if at capacity and in a location without magic restrictions, he could prove to be a serious RPG boss fight, if sufficiently motivated. He isn't in the habit of asking Mallia to charge it for him, though; he did figure out, with the ents' help, how to channel energy into it himself, but the process is slow, since he's effectively just giving it whatever of his own he can spare. This is made easier if he can sun himself, or sit among some normal ents so that they can pass him their extra too... but he can't dip into other power sources the way Mallia can. He's not going to be sucking the energy out of the room; it's a lot more passive and slow a process than that for him.
The smaller one in his chest is actually a bit of amber that's been forming there over time; it's less of a battery, and more of an effort to give himself a bit of safety, after nearly being killed, under the logic that if he can keep an extra bit of sparkle hidden away there, then if he overtaxes himself, maybe he'll find enough there to be able to hang on a little better, or maybe use as an anchor-object for his spirit to cling to. Equate it to something like a revive-at-1HP type item. Basically, he's just... going to be difficult to actually kill. - Magic use
...You don't think he'd have that MP battery gem in his arm and not have any skill with magic at all? He's fae, born an elf; of course he does....
(This is just mentioning some of what he's most likely to use/best at. Due to how his/his world's shadowstuff-based magic works, he could potentially do more things than this. For more info on his magic, its limits, etc, see Mallia's app.)- Healing -- what you'd expect.
- Minor conjuration -- food, water, that sort of thing. Nothing very big, if it's along those lines. (This is sort of a staple, among the elves.)
- Plant manipulation/growth -- This is a pretty big one for him, but he doesn't tend to use it that often. It's still shadowstuff, yes, but it's convincing. Things like making a wall of thornbushes grow to cut someone off, or ivy that goes wild and grabs them to tangle them up, that sort of thing. Think sorta like what Poison Ivy, of DC Comics fame, is known for... minus the poison stuff. ....And actually less fantastical.
- Light -- because sometimes, it's just nice to see stuff around you, right? (Insert stories of will-o-wisps here....)
- Healing -- what you'd expect.
- More mundane skills include woodcarving (like, with a knife), being able to find his way through/map out new areas pretty well (think "Ranger class" type navigation stuff), hunting/tracking things (the following and sneaking-up-on parts, not the killing stuff aspects), generally being pretty athletic, and not being too bad at dancing. He'd be better at singing if he did it more often. He can swim, but he's not the best at it.
Don't ask him to cook anything. Or play an instrument past maybe drums. - Does it count as another line item, to mention again that he has a fold-out-able shield built into his left forearm? It's not a big one, but it's there.
- And in case it wasn't obvious: he's a fighter. He primarily fights defensively, and until that last battle in which he was... forcibly retired... before it was over... he doesn't fight to kill, or even usually primarily to injure. His tactics historically included disarming the other party, stunning them, wearing them out (he doesn't tire as easily as humans either...) and capturing them, doing things like tying them up with
ropeplants so that they can't move, until he's done making it clear to them that they're never to do such a thing again. He's never been fond of traditional weaponry; he'd sooner use the surrounding plants (or magic conjurations/approximations thereof) to grab and tangle. He can fight hand-to-hand, and he's not bad with weapons in general, at least those used for close-range things, and throwing stuff... but he's not practiced with things like bows and crossbows. Most of his experience isn't even with actual swords or whatnot, so much as it is with grabbing a random fallen branch off the ground (even if it's only another conjuration, his or the ents') and swinging that, rather than a sword or proper polearm. He's played with knives plenty, just out of the idle "why not" sorts of reasons, but he mostly has them and other crafted weaponry due to keeping them after taking them from the humans. (The majority of it was either discarded (buried, probably), or handed out, if in pieces. Some weaponry was ridiculous with embedded jewels, or precious metals in the hilts. He's not dumb; he knows the humans use that for trade, and if someone's coming to his forest hungry, it makes sense to try to help! Plus, knives are useful for cutting up the food!)
Ents: because I may as well...
- They can sense intent via empathy/telepathy, as described above, but past that... they really only communicate well with Chell like that, or with each other on a regular basis due to being physically interconnected, but can project feelings and ideas to others if they really try (easiest equivalent: inflicting minor Panic, Confusion, etc, sorts of status effects on their targets, and cause "hallucinations" in minor ways, like people often think they see when psyching themselves out, questioning if that shadow moved, if they heard a growl or hiss, etc) and create illusions from shadowstuff, compounding it... but this is basically just part of their self-defense strategies/mechanisms. They generally don't do much of anything with this if not being threatened. In smaller numbers, they're not very effective anyway. If there were a huge ent forest that could work together, they could pull off quite a bit, but that's not what we're going to have here. A mere handful are more or less limited to inspiring some feelings and general minor spookiness when they're feeling threatened. (Yes, this is exactly why ent forests are seen by humans as being "haunted".)
- Food: They can grow more or less whatever produce they darn well please (of kinds they know, anyway), but unless it's more conjuration behind it (which they could theoretically do, using magic; theirs is the same as all fae's), it takes the usual amount of time that it ought to, for a plant to do that. Do not count on them to feed everyone. Maybe after a month or several, they'll have enough apples or other little fruits to give everyone one each? But that's if environmental conditions are good for that, and someone can manage to communicate to them that they ought to. Pretty big if there... for anyone but Chell (if he can use his telepathy, it'll actually be easy for him to ask that), or someone else with telepathy who can figure out how to talk to them with it. (Trees are not animals, intelligent or not; mentally, they're pretty much an alien species.)
- They can move! They can let go of the ground and walk around, though not terribly quickly. They can try to grab with their branches. Careful walking under one while wearing a hat; it might decide to take it. (hey, sometimes they get curious about stuff. Or want to decorate themselves a little. It was a running joke in another RP that they needed to be careful trying to decorate a traditional Xmas tree, because the ents tended to snag the ornaments and tinsel and whatnot from them. Much easier to just decorate the ents, lol.)
- They can heal, if weakly, with magic. Usually themselves. They can also detach parts of themselves, if they really want to - so, literally drop a fruit or leaf or flower or something for someone, or if they're done with a branch/it's terribly damaged and hurting/infected or something, shed it. (Yes, they can and have given bits of their wood to people before, which is how the elves have any to use for art and crafting purposes; they're not going to kill ents, okay)
- They also don't need all that much from the environment, if they're not going to attempt to grow much. Just some water and a bit of light....
Belongings, etc:
What clothing/items did your character arrive with?:
TECHNICALLY NOTHING that wasn't a literal part of him/that wasn't actually inside him, except the ents he's been inside of for a few centuries.... Or maybe that should be singular ent, since they've grown together now? They're intelligent, but not quite sapient - at best, something more like a pet, in terms of NPC vs appable character. ...So, functionally, an animate piece of furniture for him that he's going to be super protective about. They're not all that big, either, as far as "large trees" go. More on the short-and-stout side, large enough for him to curl up inside, and not a whole lot else. Maybe a story high, or story and a half, and hollow? It only weighs about twice as much as he does, probably. Maybe a little more.
(Don't ask about using his ents as a flotation device except maybe in an emergency. While it might work, the ents would be very likely to object unless coaxed into it somehow.)
Optional- What do you have to keep in mind when playing this character?:
Must resist the urge to be too snarky. Chell's not particularly so. XD
What mod candy, if any, does your character bring? (Aka what elements would you really like to see us play with?):
/GESTURES TO THE ABOVE APP? XD
What else do you think the mods should know about your character or their canon?:
His setting's a little bananas. ...But you already knew that.
Any questions?:
Not atm.
